RESEARCH. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION. TRAINING WITH EUROPE.

The ALTEA-EUROPA Association for the SOCIAL INTEGRATION was created in October 1995, by four associations dedicated to working with disadvantaged young:
  • Association A.L.S.E.A. (France).
  • Aurillange International (Holland).
  • C.S.V. (Great Britain).
  • Emaus Association (Spain).

These nongovernmental and nonprofit organizations have already a recognized long track record in children and youth protection.

ALTEA-EUROPA Association is the union of efforts in these countries, allowing the sum of the experiences of the people who form it and creating a network present in the four countries. This sum allows the management of common European programs, which seek to combat social inequalities for children, teenagers and young, enabling the development of training and professional integration actions within a European cultural framework. Actions are carried out mainly within the programs set by the European Union.

OBECTIVES: The ALTEA-EUROPA Association aims to promote the following actions in the different European countries:
  • Any action that enables children and young of any origin or status who suffer or are likely to suffer social discrimination, to become actors of Europe’s construction.
  • The social and professional integration of disadvantaged and marginalized people.
  • The spread of a favorable climate of opinion towards disadvantaged young encouraging solidarity and tolerance.
  • The participation of European residents in the life of their host countries.
  • Training and research in the field of social action.
  • Any activity in accordance to the principles, objectives and priorities of international cooperation for development, aimed at giving developing countries and particularly most disadvantaged people of other nations, the resources and abilities of the Association.
  • Creation of networks, commissions and/or associations pursuing aims similar to the ones of the association, in the countries where they act.
