DAPHNE PROGRAM 2004-2008 JLS/2006/DAP-1/264/WY.

FILIO-PARENTAL VIOLENCE: Minors who assault their parents.

When we talk about domestic or intra-family violence, we immediately think about violence suffered by the children and perpetrated by one of the parents. However, in recent years, cases of physical or psychological violence in which the victims are the mother/father, and the perpetrators the children, are occurring frequently.

The objective of this Project is to study the profiles of the families in which such ill-treatments occur, the individual and family group profiles, as well as their relationships dynamic.

Valencia Event 2008. Children who assault their parents.

When we talk about domestic or intra-family violence, we immediately think about violence suffered by the children and perpetrated by one of the parents. However, in recent years, cases of physical or psychological violence in which the victims are the mother/father, and the perpetrators the children, are occurring very frequently. The qualitative and quantitative increase of cases detected and seized from the different systems of child and family care (health, education, social welfare, juvenile justice), require a study of the profiles and the relationship dynamics of the families in which such ill-treatment occurs, in order to propose the design of effective intervention programs.
